Matthew Foreman, Esq.
Matthew Foreman is a second generation Floridian raised in Spring Hill, Florida. He graduated from Stetson in May 2005 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Religious Studies with minor in Family Business. Mr. Foreman received his Juris Doctor degree from Stetson University College of Law in 2008, where he was a recipient of the William F. Blews Pro Bono Service Award, and was admitted to the Florida Bar that same year. He is also admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida.
While at Stetson, Mr. Foreman was a research assistant to Professor Peter F. Lake in the Center for Excellence in Higher Education Law and Policy, annually served as an assistant to the National Conference on Law and Higher Education and was a legal intern to D. Scott Poley, Vice President of Legal Affairs and General Counsel for the entities that comprise Minor League Baseball. Mr. Foreman joined the Firm in 2009 and practices in the areas of civil litigation, family law, personal injury and local government law focusing on issues related to the Florida Contraband Forfeiture Act and Code Enforcement. He is currently a member of the Hernando County School Board after being appointed to the position by Governor Rick Scott in September 2011, and is a member of the Board of Directors for non-profit organizations such as the Greater Hernando County Chamber of Commerce and High Fives for Hope, Inc.
